The worst outcome in television is investing forty hours in something that gets cancelled on a cliffhanger, which is why this list contains only series that reached an ending. Draw one and commit to the pilot plus two more before judging: almost all of these are slow starters and several are actively unpromising for an episode. Thirty dramas across crime, politics, history and the domestic. All finished, all bingeable without risk.
